First off, you need to watch this video, then you can read the rest of the post.

This might become more of a monthly thing if I don't try to post more often but here is what has been going on in the last month.

here is me about 4 weeks ago going out for some pizza one day. this is also the last known picture of me with long hair.

this is me last weekend. yes I know it is shocking. it seemed to be time for some change and it has been about two years since my hair has been that short.

Every thing at Taylor has been going very well in the last month. pick-a-dates, flag football, air band, floor retreats, pranks, and some homework in there some where. I have never been more exited from the results of a lab experiment than I was last night. My partner and I calculated the universal gas constant law from our own measurements to 99.93% accuracy. I know that this sounds incredibly pathetic, but it was exiting.

Sammy II had a really good pick-a-date a while ago. We went bowling and then had some ice cream at the dorm. sadly I had not planned on going, but decided to go at the last minute. consequently I played camera man all night because I had no date (may be the apostle Paul was right).

(Dan, Johnny, Myatch all rollin' big)

(Murr Dog with the hall directors little sister...)

Staying in the tradition of pranking, many freshmen had there first taste of preparations as we crumpled up thousands of pages of news paper and stuffed it into garbage bags for a little delivery.

Last Monday being the first official campus visitation day it was time for the annual Samuel Morris, Wwwengatz appreciation day. so all of the Morris Men dressed in the garb of our across campus brethren.

(as you can see everyone dressed up, except Johnny of course, top far left)

The Sammy II retreat also went down last month. we had a chapel service in the recital hall which was supposed to be followed by a day at salamonie lake. Sadly we got rained out and had to reschedule the boating extravaganza, so only 5 of us could make it but we had a blast.

(Jordan, Randy, Murr Dog, Aron)

In other recent news, a sk8 boarding revolution has swept the floor mostly inspired by freshmen semi-pro skateboarder Mark Williamson  so I went out on Tuesday and got myself a board.

the deck was made by the local company, life skate boarding, the trucks and independent, the wheels are spitfires, and the bearings are reds. over all it is a nice board and we are having a blast. my week of skate counseling at springhill is paying off. cool story about buying the board, Mark took me to help me pick out good stuff, but the as we where looking around this little back ally shop I noticed that a board behind the counter had II Corinthians 5:10 written on the grip tape. I asked the guy at the counter whose board it was and he told me that it was his and proceeded to quote "10For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive what is due him for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad." the shop had a small indoor park attached to it and apparently the shop owner had a bible study every Tuesday night for all of the kids who came to skate. I was really cool.

and this one is for free.

take care all, it is good to hear from you.

All right so I guess that I promised and actual post on my new xanga sight, so I will give it a shot. Basically I live in the middle of nowhere Indiana so we have to be slightly creative for our leisure activity. Not to say that there is ever a dull moment at Taylor. I am going to be a Dorm PA at Taylor this year, so I got here a little early for training. The Morris PAs thought that it would be good to do a little high ropes together.

(Kaleb & Andrew rocking it on the two way rope bridge)

The day ended with us conquering the 20 ft. wall

(That is my leg in case you were wondering)

We then took off for a PA bike trip to Mackinaw Island up in MI. The ride was supposed to be about 50 miles but we only did the last 36 miles due to rain. it was still a lot of fun, and it was a good opportunity to get to know the other PAs.

(here is the whole Morris team with Adam Hannah the Asst. hall director at the far left, and Crazy the hall director at the far right)

We rode all the way to the Mackinaw bridge which is the separating point of lake Michigan and lake superior. So we took at swim in lake superior (I guess) and also a little bath while we were at it.

We spent the whole next day on the island riding the seven mile loop and sampling all of the fudge on the island.

(Ben & Brodie my fellow Sammy II PAs, aren't the just so cute)

After all of the fun at Mackinaw it was back to Taylor and preparation for Freshman arrival.

(We only wanted to welcome one freshman)

There are about 34 new guys on Sammy II, all of which are awesome, so we decided to celebrate there arrival to the deuce with a little sister floor bonfire.

After the rest of the brethren returned to the illustrious Sammy II we had a hall meeting.

with the reunion of brothers, young and old, the fun has begun and will continue for the rest of the year. the spring season tennis ball baseball is in full swing (ha). sorry, bad pun.

(nice form Dan)

(nice form Josh, tough luck though)

the traditional celebratory birthday fumble for Adam Hannah took place at the morris slip and slide. both where a blast.

(Adam is in there somewhere)

(better form Josh)

We also held the 13th annual Sammy II freshman welcoming last night/this morning complete with ninjas, a risque Matt Hilty, all of the adorable Sammy II relic holders, and of course the 6b phubbbbbbs.

Well that's all for now. as you can see all is well on the deuce and we are looking forward to a year of craziness and excitement.
